Why Can't I Edit a Document?

Modified on Tue, May 26 at 11:56 AM

Certain document statuses and permission settings can restrict a user's ability to edit documentation. Below are two common reasons for each user type.

For Back Office (BO) Users:

  1. The document is already submitted, approved, exported, accepted, returned, or deleted.

    • These statuses lock the document from further editing.

  2. The user does not have edit/modify rights assigned.

    • Check user role permissions under Settings > User Logins

For CGA (Field Staff) Users:

  1. The document is in QA (Quality Assurance) review.

    • While in QA, editing is restricted until the document is returned.

  2. The caregiver is not the owner of the document.

    • Only the assigned clinician can edit the document unless permissions are adjusted
