How do I change a patient's status from Under Evaluation to Admitted?

All newly entered patients will show 'Under Evaluation' status. To change status to Admitted, Plan of Care must be created.


Steps to Resolve:


  1. Insurance Info:
    Ensure patient insurance is selected in the Patient Intake.
  2. For agencies using Full SEMR:
    • Schedule the first visit.
    • Add the OASIS-E1 Start of Care Assessment.
  3. If not using electronic forms/documents:
    • In Normal View:
      • Click Admit at the top of the chart.
      • Navigate to Care Plans / Orders > POC.


    • In Classic View:
      • Click New > Status Record > Admit.

      • Then click New > Plan of Care.
