Sometimes an admission does not push through, but the agency may still want to keep the patient's medical record. In this case, the patient status can be changed to Non Admit.
Important:
Before setting a patient to Non Admit, you must delete any existing:
- Claims
- Plan of Care
- OASIS records
- Start of Care (SOC) status record
Steps to Non-Admit:
- Delete Required Records:
Remove any Claims, Plan of Care, OASIS, and SOC status records if they have been added. - Using Normal View:
- At the top middle of the screen, click the dropdown arrow next to the ADMIT button.
- Select Don't Admit.
- Enter the Non-admit Date and Reason.
- Click Save.
- At the top middle of the screen, click the dropdown arrow next to the ADMIT button.
- Using Cases Tab:
- After deleting the SOC status record, click New > Status Record.
- Select Don't Admit.
- Enter the Non-admit Date and Reason.
- Click Save.
- After deleting the SOC status record, click New > Status Record.
