How do I capture a patient signature in Synergy EMR?
Some insurance payers require patient signatures on completed visits or documents. Synergy EMR allows clinicians to capture two types of patient signatures:
- Hand Signature
- Audio Signature (for patients unable to sign physically)
All patient signatures are collected through Clinician Assistant.
What do I need before capturing a signature?
- Actual Time In and Time Out must be entered for the visit.
- Then click the Patient Verification button to begin the signature process.
How do I record a hand signature?
- Select Hand Signature.
- Use a mouse, laptop trackpad, or mobile touchscreen to sign.
- Fill in any required fields.
- Click Save when finished.
How do I record an audio signature?
- Ensure your device's microphone is enabled and permission is granted.
- Click Start–Stop Recording to record the patient's verbal acknowledgment.
- Complete any required fields.
- Click Save to store the audio signature.
