Add Occurrence Code 55

Occurrence Code 55 is used to report the date of death for a patient. This code must be included on claims when applicable.


Steps to Add Occurrence Code 55:

  1. Go to the patient's chart.

  2. Click on the Claims tab.

  3. Locate the relevant claim and double-click to open it.

  4. Click the “Load” button next to the Occurrence Codes tab.

  5. In the Occurrence Code column, type 55.

  6. In the corresponding field, enter the patient's date of death.

  7. Click Save & Close to apply changes.
