"What does 'Discarded' mean in Download Files via Ability?"

[Trigger: User asks about the "Discarded" state or re-downloading files in Download Files via Ability]


If you're seeing a file marked as Discarded in the Download Files via Ability window, that just means the file has already been downloaded before. It's still accessible — it hasn't been deleted.

To download it again, make sure the "Include files already downloaded" option is checked, select the file, and click Download Files.

Once downloaded, you'll have the option to Save or View the file. If you're re-downloading an 835 file and see a message that says "This RA has already been imported," that is completely normal — it just means it's already been processed and is in your Payments EOB RA screen. You can still save the file if you need a copy outside of Synergy EMR.

For 277 files, clicking View will open it as a readable report directly in your browser.
